Judges Are Arming Themselves Against the Government

US federal judges consider creating own armed security force as threats mount

Proposal would move security under judges’ control as justice department has vowed loyalty to Trump

These are the kinds of headline you expect out of a collapsing regime. A failing state. Some fragile democracy teetering on the edge of a coup.

But it’s happening right here. In the United States.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, federal judges have begun discussing plans to create their own armed security force because they no longer trust the Department of Justice to protect them. Let me say that louder for the people still clinging to the illusion that things are fine:

Federal judges are planning to defend themselves from the Executive Branch.

Not criminals. Not drug cartels. Not foreign terrorists. The Executive Branch. As in: the one controlled by Donald J. Trump.

Let’s not dress this up in diplomatic language. This is the kind of development you see in governments where dictators start purging dissenters. Where law becomes a weapon. Where the very people tasked with upholding the Constitution are suddenly calculating how to stay alive while doing it.

And this isn’t a conspiracy theory. This isn’t a left-wing think piece. This is fifty federal judges meeting behind closed doors, asking whether their protection can be trusted under a Justice Department that now answers to a man with a proven track record of inciting violence against the judiciary.

The same man who posted judges’ names online.

Who called them enemies.

Who whipped his base into a frenzy every time a ruling didn’t go his way.

They see the writing on the wall.

They know what’s coming.

And they know the system they serve might not have their back.

This is not normal. This is not sustainable. This is not survivable.

When judges—the last line of defense against tyranny—start preparing for physical retaliation from their own government, we are way past red flags. We are in sirens-blaring, smoke-in-the-air, emergency-level collapse.

And the worst part? Most Americans aren’t even talking about it.

We’re so numb to the absurd, so beaten down by outrage fatigue, that we don’t flinch when the judiciary starts plotting how to protect itself from the presidency.

But we damn well should.

Because once the courts fall, once fear outweighs justice, it’s over.

The checks are gone. The balance is broken. The Constitution is just paper.

And the only law left is the will of a man who thinks judges are obstacles, not guardians.

If you’re still wondering if it’s time to speak up, organize, resist,

THIS IS YOUR SIGN

If the judges are sounding the alarm, then so should we.

Because if they’re not safe, none of us are.
