A few years ago I had a very vivid dream that I was in a theater with Evie and a guy came in with a gun. I hoped he would stay on the other side of the theater, not caring that there were people over there just as terrified as I was. But he came right to us and pointed his gun at Evie as I cradled her on my lap. I turned her away from him to put myself in the way, but he was so close I knew it wouldn't be enough. All I could do was pray... When I woke up I was so thankful that it was just a horrible dream. But Friday, July 20th, at the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, that scene became a real nightmare for too many parents. Between this horrible incident and the shootings that have happened recently at the two parks by our home where the girls take their lessons several times a week, I'm scared. I am afraid for my children's safety in this world. I'm terrified that I can't protect them. Then today my interest was piqued by a blog post titled &
